Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build functional systems that improve customer experience.

As a DevOps Engineer, they will be responsible for defining and implementing our containerization
technology strategies. They will also design our architecture and define our roadmap. The candidate.
will work on building, scaling, and monitoring various highly complex applications of ours, and making
our container orchestration cluster highly available.

? Participate as a stakeholder in planning the product roadmap, sprint planning, standups.
? Automate and keep our services running while improving them to achieve high availability,
resiliency, scalability, security and cost optimisation.
? Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation; evolve systems by
pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
? Build tools to deploy, monitor and maintain our highly available, mission critical cloud
infrastructure, defining everything as code. This includes pipelines, templates and scripting
in different languages.
? Develop and maintain software release and deployment processes/tools/infrastructure
(CI/CD preferably the GCP stack of Cloud Build, Container Registry and Cloud Run)
? Streamline and enhance the day-to-day operational workflows of critical applications and
services in 24x7x365 environments located in AWS/Azure/GCP clouds
? Evangelise best practices, for security, automation, scalability, high availability and
resilience across the group and help our engineers implement them.
? Write useful documentation in your own projects

? 2+ years experience in building, optimizing, and maintaining infrastructure on a large scale.
? Experience with understanding networking and modern web services architectures.
? Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available mission
critical service.

What we're looking for:
? Advanced Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
? Extensive experience architecting services within cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure,
GCP.
? Strong background in Linux/Unix administration.
? Experience implementing observability (monitoring, and logging tooling). Exposure to
monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana is a must.
? Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes in production.
? Extensive hands-on experience with Helm, Terraform, Hashicorp Vault, Logging tools in
production and must be able to automate most of the processes using Terraform and
knowledge on CRD.
? Experience building and managing CI/CD tools and pipelines.
? Should have hands-on experience on relational databases(preferably PostgreSQL).
? Strong troubleshooting skills in the API Management and Gateway Integration(preferably
Kong).
? Implement customer DNS configuration and functionality in the product.
? Strong communication.
