Scientist: Flowcytometry Site : Beckman Coulter, Bangalore Development Center Band : P1 Department : Research and Development Science Supervisor : Senior Scientist/ Staff Scientist/ Manager, Development Science Summary of responsibilities: Beckman Coulter LS, Bangalore is looking for aScientist to conductresearch and development activity in Flow cytometry to develop, evaluate, and implement new reagent solutions for research and/or In Vitro diagnostic use for developing flow cytometry product portfolio. This role demands expertise in basic flowcytometry fundamentals, data analysis, hands on experience with single color & multicolor flowcytometry assays. The incumbent leads and performs experiments reviews test results for experimental error and determines if repeats are required participates in planning studies for the development, evolution and optimization of product design maintains well organized laboratory notebooks in compliance with relevant procedures and supports post-launch activities to resolve performance and/or quality issues. Boundary Conditions/Authority Levels : Receives instruction on routine work Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Participates in the analysis, design, and development of assays and products. Primary responsibility to execute the day-to-day lab wet work planned as per project schedule (experimental planning, Flow cytometry Sample preparation & processing, Acquisition, Data analysis, Data interpretation, Assay optimization). Responsible for generating high quality technical documents and reports. Responsible for creating technical presentations and updating relevant functions on the same Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Ensures strict adherence to good laboratory and good documentation practices throughout the design and development cycle Applies analytical skills and independent judgment to develop innovative, practical, and consistent solutions to a wide range of work problems of moderate scope and complexity. Able to troubleshoot issues, identify root cause and strive towards solutions for identified problems of low to moderate complexity. Involve in study planning to align with requirements standards and regulatory requirements and ensures the studies are conducted in agreement with approved plans Responsible for following all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition. Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. Report status of experiments to supervisor. Flexible to take up new challenges & Performs other related duties as required. Education and/or Experience: Master's degree in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology or relevant fields with at least 2+ years of relevant experience in industry respectively or Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Biomedical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience in Industry. Industrial experience in the field of assay development of Flow cytometry reagents, ELISAs or other Immunological techniques is desirable but not mandatory.
