About the department

The position is based in Commercial IT India - an area with 100+ employees closely working with colleagues across 7 Regions in International Operations and in North America Operations, within Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical and other Commercial functions.

The mission of Commercial IT GBS is to manage and provide best in class Project Management, System Management, Operations and Maintenance, System release activities across Novo Nordisk within the Digital, Data & IT domains built on modern cloud-based platforms such as Sales Force, AWS, MuleSoft, Adobe etc. The department works in sync with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.

The Position

The position holder is responsible, you will be responsible for identify, analyse, develop interfaces, API's and integration flows using MuleSoft Any point platform including Mule Runtime, Connectors, Design Centre, and API management for Business Service Platform (BSP). As a Platform SME ensure MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (MAP) is running smooth and support projects with development of API's on MuleSoft and help troubleshoot issues and provide inputs to Design, development, documentation best practices and guidelines and helping in troubleshoot issues along with maintaining day-to-day operations and coordinating with the platform/service teams.

The position holder responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks, reviewing code written by developers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting and implementation and day to day operations. Good knowledge of Integration Design patterns for building middleware systems, from the ground up using Message Routing, Content Enrichment, Message Filtering, Message Transformation, Guaranteed Delivery, Message Sequencing, Batch Message processing, error handling and reconciliation mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Create low level designs as required by analysing the high-level designs proposed by architect. With software development adheres to documented design and development patterns, standards and contribute towards on-time and on-budget delivery.

• Responsible to create REST patterns, Web Services Interoperability, web service standards such as Web Services Security Extension (WSSE), and technologies (XML, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, UDDI, REST), Service Oriented Architecture.

• Supports the integration environment and solutions, including off-hours support of business-critical integration solutions. Working on Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring and KPI for end-to-end process execution

• Interaction with internal teams, cross-functional department, senior business stakeholders, primarily with NNI (United States) and external contacts. Provide status updates and reporting metrics to the program leadership and contribute towards on-time and on-budget delivery.

• Collaboration with Centre of Excellence, Subject Matter Expert, Vendors across geographic area and support with any issues on the platform along with troubleshooting of issues.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor's degree or similar graduate degree in relevant field (Software Engineering or Computer Science) and relevant business experience.
• 6+ years of experience in a software engineering or developer role in areas such as API development, Integration solutions, webservices etc.
• Minimum 3years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft development and analysis, including Cloud Hub, API Management, and Data Weave 2.0 and its various functions.
• Coding experience in contemporary back-end languages such as C#, Java, Python etc. Good understanding of relational databases and experience working with different adapters and JMS queues required.
• Proficiency in developing RESTful webservicesA Experience building integrations between common business applications such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, ERP etc.
• Experience working in an Agile Setup, understanding of SCRUM framework.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps with experience on CI/CD setup, GIT, Maven and CICD pipelines for build and deployment.
• Good knowledge of SOA and fluency in web service standards such as WSSE and technologies (XML, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, UDDI, REST) is a must.
• Experience working with other Integration platforms is a plus.
