Job Description


Company3 Method India Pvt Ltd. is seeking a Desktop Administrator will be responsible for the management of user workstations for an organization. Desktop administration duties involve configuring and overseeing network connections, data management, user settings, and security. You also handle technical support issues for users as they arise. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist users in solving all computer-related problems.
  • Should be able to give remote support to counterpart of company in another location.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate support teams for resolutions.
  • Should be keep proper communication between existing team members.
  • Assist with PC, network hardware and software upgrades as required.
  • Assist and help user community in answering all questions regarding network and access rights.
  • To ensure that appropriate action is taken to investigate and resolve incidents and problems in systems and service, ensuring that such incidents and problems are fully documented within the relevant reporting system(s).
  • Assist in Testing and deploying software upgrades on all systems.
  • Assist in Monitoring system performance and data integrity.
  • Assist in Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software, and applications.
  • Document helpdesk issues and do a throughout follow-up until they are resolved.
  • Be aware of and keep up to date with the company content security policies and procedures and ensure adherence to the same.
  • Oversee inventory management of software and hardware components.
  • Working in any Day-Night Shift should be comfortable as per requirement.
  • Must be updated with all latest technologies in current work scenario.
  • Maintain accurate documentations for system installations, configurations, upgrades, and disaster recovery activities
Requirements:
  • Diploma OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Hardware, Networking, or related area.
  • 4 years minimum experience in helpdesk, desktop support or administration
  • Hands-on experience with RHEL OS configuration, provisioning, decommissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience in LINUX installation, configuring, and upgrading of Linux systems and servers.
  • Linux OS administration - Ubuntu, Centos, and RedHat
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proven experience in risk-based systems running on UNIX / LINUX platforms along with OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills - DNS/DHCP/VLAN/Trunk/Firewall
  • Working knowledge of DELL, HP, and IBM HW
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Ability to seek proactive solutions to difficult situations
  • Expert knowledge of desktop software and hardware support, troubleshooting and resolution
  • Ability to remain calm under deadlines
  • VMware experience is a Plus.
  • Ready to work on US shift timings.
  • Visual effects software (Nuke, Silhouette, Photoshop) experience is a plus
