Role Description

This role is part of Arcadis\xe2\x80\x99 Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis\xe2\x80\x99 offices globally. Role Accountabilities:

As a Telecom Design Engineer you will need to have detailed knowledge on the design and integration of various systems and subsystems, including but not limited to -

• Responsibility for development of Telecom system design in different sized projects to meet the Client\xe2\x80\x99s objectives, along with working throughout the complete project timeline from concept to operations with existing and emerging technologies.
• Working across multi-discipline design teams in addition to leading and mentoring other engineers and less experienced colleagues.
• Being knowledgeable and experienced in telecommunications technology, industrial and commercial networks across a broad range of infrastructure projects.
• Structured Cabling infrastructure \xe2\x80\x93 copper and fibre optic.
• Networked Applications - CCTV, Public Address System (PA), Access Control System (ACS), Passenger Help Points (PHP), Customer Information System (CIS), Clock System.
• Wireless Network Architecture.
• Mobile telephony and Radio systems and architectures, base station configurations, bandwidth management.
• Experience in the preparation of Conceptual reports, Schematic designs, Project documentation, Specifications, Schedules, Calculations, Bill of materials, implementation/construction plans and costings to client requirements.
• Experience of working on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, preferably in the Rail transport, energy, industrial processing and building sectors.
• Previous experience in developing, analysing, assessing and implementation of network technologies for converged networks and other network architectures.
• Previous experience in providing support for estimates for engineering projects and tenders with regard to resources, plans, technology, risk and process.
• Broad knowledge of telecom networks in civil construction, mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Client interaction is an important part of the role and candidates must have previous experience of working with Clients and Stakeholders.
• Familiar with International design codes and standards.
• Preferable experience within a consultancy environment specifically in the Rail /Metro industry
• Proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD or Microstation is expected.
• Proficiency in 3D BIM Modelling software like Revit or AECOsim will be added benefit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook is expected.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language.

Qualifications & Experience:

• BE / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized university
