About the Company:Brijbasi Firesafety Systems Pvt. Ltd. is a leading manufacturer and solution provider in the fire safety sector. With decades of experience, we specialize in the design, development, and production of custom-built firefighting and rescue vehicles for industrial, municipal, and defence applications.Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our Firefighting Vehicle Division. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and integrating automotive systems specifically for firefighting trucks, including chassis modifications, water tank mounting, pump installation, and control system integration.Key Responsibilities:Develop 2D & 3D models, layouts, and detailed engineering drawings of fire-fighting trucks and their systems (bodywork, water/foam tanks, pump systems, lockers, etc.) using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, etc.).Create and maintain Bill of Materials Customize and integrate firefighting equipment (pumps, tanks, hose reels, control panels) onto commercial vehicle chassis (e.g., Ashok Leyland, Tata, BharatBenz, etc.).Design mounting arrangements for pumps, PTOs, water/foam systems, monitors, and associated piping.Liaise with suppliers and vendors for technical components and assist in procurement specifications.Perform basic strength and weight distribution calculations to ensure vehicle stability and performance.Ensure compliance with relevant national and international fire truck standards (e.g., EN 1846, IS 950, NFPA, etc.).Support prototype assembly and resolve design issues during production and testing phases.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering Minimum 5 years of experience in the design or manufacturing of firefighting vehicles, special-purpose trucks, or commercial vehicles. Strong understanding of vehicle chassis systems, PTO units, drivetrains, suspension, and hydraulic systems.Familiarity with fire pumps, foam systems, and water tank integration.Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and knowledge of fabrication techniques.To apply or inquire further, call us at 9869545400.
