Job Description

:

Experience: 3-5 years, experience in Design in construction Industry, Oil and Gas, Power plant background.

Objective: The person shall be responsible for the complete design of module cleaning system, HVAC requirement for inverter & control room and firefighting system for inverter rooms, control rooms for solar power plant. The design Engineer - Mechanical shall execute the entire design for a project or a set of smaller projects including co-ordination with other disciplines viz., Electrical, instrumentation and civil

The Design Engineer- Mechanical shall work with a team of draftsman to design the Engineering activities within budget, deliver on time and maintaining a high quality of engineering

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of pipe sizing calculation for module cleaning system. & ventilation design calculations for control room & inverter rooms.
• Checking the Detail engineering (e.g. pipe routing drawing, Process Instrumentation diagram, isometric drawings) done by drafts person
• Coordinating with inter department to get various inputs for module cleaning system, firefighting system and HVAC system.
• Internal checking undertaking after document submission by Design engineer - Electrical.
• Development of BOM (Pipe size required, volume of water, distribution of water throughout the plant) after layout submission.
• Submission of BOQ to operations team (tender) & Client (live project).
• Coordination to address deviation with quantity, or operational aspects with Site execution team.
• Consultation & Altering of items after submission of BOQ after coordination with SCM.
• Instruction to draftsman for development of detail engineering as per requirement by client.
• Technical evaluation of vendors documents (with respect to tech spec) as per requirement by client.

Technical Expertise:

• The Design Engineer - Mechanical shall be capable of designing pipe size, piping layout, heat load requirement as well as cross checking the calculations done by design engineer. The Design Engineer - Mechanical shall be capable of executing design the for module cleaning system, HVAC, FF for solar power plant. The Section Head - Mechanical shall be able to review Vendor engineering documents with respect to HVAC & FF design. Knowledge of New technologies to do design optimisation

Operating Network:

• Internally: Engineering Heads, Cluster Heads, SCM, QC, PEMs, proposal team, Safety (Sometimes), Other Section Heads
• External: Clients / Consultants, Vendors

Software Skills Required:
