Job Description

Develop and design new products or components from concept through to production. Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA. Perform design calculations and simulations to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and other departments to ensure product feasibility and compliance. Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, prototyping, and testing phases. Modify existing designs to improve performance, reduce cost, or meet new requirements. Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards. Stay up-to-date with new engineering tools, software, and technology trends.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in a design engineering role (entry-level roles can be modified accordingly). Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar). Strong understanding of design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerancing. Experience with simulation tools (FEA/CFD) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

Experience with PLM systems (e.g., PTC Windchill, Teamcenter). Knowledge of industry-specific standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, ANSI). Exposure to additive manufacturing or rapid prototyping techniques. Familiarity with Agile or Lean product development methodologies.
