Responsibilities for electrical design engineer

• Create engineering drawings specifically electrical diagrams for equipment connection
• Create bills of material for electrical panels and components
• Modify existing control panel designs
• Complete 3-phase electrical power calculations
• Utilize CAD software for wiring diagram and system layout
• Support existing install base of control systems and resolve follow up installation issues
• Produce engineering documentation such as 2-D schematics, 3-D models and assemblies, Production Assembly Drawings (PADs), part requirement drawings
• Electrical Design Engineer
• Lead Electrical Design Engineer
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and factory test engineers, developing cohesive, elegant solutions

Qualifications for electrical design engineer

• Experience with analog, digital, and electro-mechanical circuits and components, which may include voltage and current regulators, FETs, LCDs, microprocessors, relays, motors, switches, solenoids
• Candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and a problem solver who works well within a team
• Working knowledge and experience in risk analyses
• 1-3 years experience with Eplan for electrical design
• Experience using AutoCAD for electrical design
• Cumulative 4-9 years of experience with industrial or commercial electrical design
