Job Description

Candidate should independently engage in customer discussions, capture requirements, and convert to technical specifications. Visit customer counterpart sites/plants in order to understand actual use-cases and propose suitable solutions. Support in preparation of techno-commercial proposals for both internal and external customers. Candidates should come up with technical design concepts (with DFAM mindset) and develop innovative solutions through Additive manufacturing process &/or through conventional process. Candidate must reverse engineer, create CAD models / manufacturing drawings and use the application of GD&T. Must support prototyping of parts and should independently handle inhouse AM machines/3D Printers and operation of polymer 3D printers Should build and use his networking skills to support interaction with external & internal suppliers/stakeholders for scheduling, outsourcing, execution of tasks and handle logistics. Support team in procurement process (i.e. get quotations & creation of purchase requisition). Qualifications B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech (Mechatronics / Mechanical / Polymer Engg / IP) with 4 to 7 years of work experience. Candidate with strong analytical skills with problem solving capability demonstrating proper understanding of cause-effect relationships. Excellent proficiency in CAD tools like Pro-E or UG. Product/Components design for Automotive and/or non-automotive applications with good experience in plastic & metal part design. Experience in manufacturing industry with good understanding on Jigs, fixtures and tooling Good understanding on conventional materials (plastics/Metals) and equivalent materials for AM Experience in handling 3D printers, various 3D printing technologies, their respective pros-cons with regards to application and post processing of finished parts Knowledge on design verification and validation is an added advantage Knowledge on engineering process & methods (e.g. DFMEA, DRBFM, six sigma ) is an added advantage Understanding of plastic materials and key manufacturing process for plastics and elastomers (injection/compression molding) is an added advantage Additional experience of FEA tools / mold flow simulation tools is an added advantage Programing skills using Python/MATLAB , Experience in AI/ML will be an added advantage General Skills: Excellent oral and written English is required, German language skill is added advantage. Good presentation & reporting skills Flexible and a Team player Pro-Active, Inquisitive, quick learning and capable of handling the task independently Must be willing to occasionally travel (locally / international) Additional Information
