The Deputy Manager, Technology will work closely with the Senior Manager IT and Operations Director
to work on a diverse array of technology applications. He/ she will also bring in the knowledge around
best practices and new technologies to enrich the technical standards followed within AlCircle. The
candidate is also expected to play an active part in conceptualizing and delivering a number of
technology initiatives.
The role will report to Senior Manager, Technology.
Roles and responsibilities
The Deputy Manager, Technology will don multiple hats \xe2\x80\x93 Project Manager, Developer as well as
System analyst. The roles and responsibilities are mentioned below.
? Participate in technology strategy development
o The role will work closely with the senior management to develop technology strategy for
AlCircle, keeping in mind the future business goals
o He/she will actively participate in technology assessment, data maturity assessment,
analytics, data security, infrastructure optimization and other areas
? Develop, enhance and manage an array of technology applications
Such activities will encompass managing a number of in-house applications with the support of
an internal technology team:
o Management, development and enhancement of the websites of AlCircle
o Management, development and enhancement of Mobile Apps
o Management, development and additional roll-outs for in-house CRM application
o Management and augmentation of in-house knowledge portal
o Oversee and support the Chatbot project for AlCircle
o Oversee and support the RPA projects and eventually establish a command centre
o Build campaign landing pages for the various digital marketing campaigns o Research and deliver other future technologies, based on business requirements (VR-
MR, AI projects, Blockchain applications, etc.) o Periodic modification of each of the databases and updating codes for performance
augmentation
o Build preparedness for future application tests (performance tests) and IT security audits
o Build necessary documentation standards and ensure that the team follows the same Eco Space Business Park, Block 3A, 4th Floor, Unit No.401A, Plot No. 2F/11, New Town, Rajarhat, Kolkata -700156
? Coordination with external technology partners
o AlCircle\xe2\x80\x99s Technology team works with multiple external technology partners. The Deputy
manager will work closely with them and ensure that the timelines are met
o The role will also ensure that the best practices are followed by the external technology
partners
o Periodic calls and action items will be driven by the role with the Tech partners Desired skills & background
? The candidate should be dynamic, willing to learn new technologies
? The candidate should be ready to innovate, and venture into new areas and question the obvious
? Should be open to collaborate and work closely with various stakeholders
? Should have an open mind and explore new ways of working
? An ideal candidate will be expected to have knowledge in the following technologies:
o Languages: C, Visual Basic, C#
o Web Application Development: PHP, HTML, HTML5, DHTML, JAVA Script, JQUERY,
CSS, CSS3, .Net
o DBMS Packages: Oracle 9i, 10g, 11g, SQL Server 2000, MySQL
o Front End: VB.NET, Crystal Report
o Others: Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 and Adobe Photoshop CS4
o Operating System: Microsoft Windows(Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7)
? The candidate should have 5+ years of experience
? Should have BTech/ MTech/ BE/ME/BCA/MCA or BSc/MSc IT background
? Understanding of Cloud Technologies will be important
? Understanding of SDLC will be key for this role
? Any experience of managing a team will be an added advantage
? Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methods will be important for this role
? Understanding of Data Security & best practices will be an added advantage
? Exposure of working in start-ups will be an advantage
