The Plastics Export Promotion Council (Plexconcil) is an autonomous institution operating under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, Government of India. Position - Deputy Director (North) Location: Regional office, New Delhi Job profile: \xc2\xb7 Responsible for liaising with various Government of India departments and State Governments along with other Governmental and International bodies, Institute, Associations, Chambers, Customs, Press, etc. \xc2\xb7 To liaise with other stakeholders, associations connected to the Plastics industry for faster integrated growth of the sector. \xc2\xb7 To put in efforts to increase the members of the Council from the region by maintaining extensive business contacts, providing necessary guidance, dissolving complaints / queries of the members/visitors arising from time to time. \xc2\xb7 To conduct, coordinate seminars, awareness programs and participate in exhibitions / seminars organized by local bodies thereby informing about the role of council and its activities. \xc2\xb7 To generate maximum registration for the domestic and international exhibitions from the region. \xc2\xb7 The candidate should possess good knowledge of international trade, and should have good communication skills to represent the council at various Domestic and International forums. \xc2\xb7 The position requires local travelling to MSME clusters within India for driving membership as well as overseas travelling for international exhibitions. \xc2\xb7 The incumbent must be able to read and write Hindi, Punjabi and English. \xc2\xb7 The candidate shall be required to produce a health and fitness certificate. \xc2\xb7 Upon successful completion of one year probation period and exemplary performance, the candidate will be promoted as Regional Director (North). Educational qualification: Graduate preferably in Commerce / Economics with Management degree. Work experience minimum of 15 years preferably with trade association / Export promotion council. Good connection with Government and demonstrated skills in Networking with Central and State Governments at medium to high levels of administration would be an added asset. Knowledge in computer skills like Microsoft Office Suite, Presentation Software is a must. Salary will be as per industry norms and according to eligibility.
