Role and Responsibilities: Strategic: Making safety management plan for department and organization Responsible for developing and implementing safety procedures for the company Managerial Assisting in making budgets for safety and fire function along with selection and purchase of safety equipment. Conducting safety awareness trainings for employees and community Analysing accidents / incidents Planning and organizing - Safety review meetings Planning and execution for various safety audits, HAZOP studies, Job Safety analysis and risk assessment Liaison with Govt. authorities on behalf of company Operational Carrying out Risk assessment based on chemicals / MSDS / Process Safety/ equipment considering hierarchy of risk controls Assist in carrying out mock drills to keep the company ready to face adversities and disaster preparedness Awareness on ISO 45000 / OHSAS-18001, British safety council and ISO 9000 requirements audits involvement and compilation of various observations Understanding of engineering drawings and structural load calculation People related issues Counselling company and contract employees on safety awareness and precautions to be followed . Safety awareness in nearby community, transporters through safety talks and induction training Safety week celebrations and involving workforce Role related to Ergonomic studies, Occupational health and process safety, Environment hazards related to chemical industry. Preferred Skills: Good communication skills ( Gujarati, Hindi & English) Good interpersonal skills Knowledge on safety rules and regulations Awareness of ISO 9001-2000 and ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 Qualifications & Education Requirements: BE/B.Tech - Chemical with PG Diploma in Industrial Safety (Full time) from recognized Government Institute Experience: 3-7 years in Industrial Safety function in Refinery / Chemical/Fertilizer Industry About Us The story of the company is about harnessing the fruits of science for goals that go beyond business.
