Purpose of Role:

The Associate Director - Legal will manage end to end Legal operations . The role holder will liaise with various functions to enable better business outcomes through legal expertise and advisory.

Location : The role will be based out of our Gurgaon corporate office.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Lead the Legal Function end-to-end.

Real estate: legal due diligence of the properties, lease agreement, leave and license agreements, revenue sharing agreements, rental agreements for office space, warehouse, last mile etc.

Compliance: legal compliance such as Trade license, FSSAI license, Legal Metrology license, Shops and Establishment License, drugs and cosmetics license and also labour compliance such as minimum wages, principal employer registration, shops & establishment, contract labour license etc.

Litigation: All types of litigation and cases: NI act, civil matter, criminal cases, IP infringement, labour cases etc,

Intellectual property: trademark search, filing of trademark, notice for infringement, copyright matters.

- Briefing the Founders about the status of legal and Compliance on regular basis, get all necessary reports and documents in place for due diligence for fund raising.

- Supervising the day-to-day work on drafting and vetting of agreements such as vendor agreement, supplier agreement, distribution agreements, dealership agreements, manufacturing agreements etc.

Skills & Competency:

- Ability to work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

- Ability to support team to disrupt, improve and evolve ways of working when necessary.

- Arrange and sponsor appropriate assignments and experiences to help the team realise their potential and support their long-term aspirations.

- Identify gaps in the organisation and spot opportunities to create value propositions.

- Look for opportunities to scale efficiencies and new ways of working across multiple projects and environments.

- Influence and facilitate the creation of long-term relationships which add value to the organisation and uphold the organisations code of ethics and business conduct.

Candidate Profile:

- Fully qualified lawyer with 12-15 years of experience in real estate, compliance, litigation, etc

- LLB/LLM
