to join our dynamic kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supporting the Chef de Partie, and maintaining smooth operations in your section.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes from both Chinese and Continental menus as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all dishes
Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation and kitchen equipment
Assist in daily mise en place and food preparation for service
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control and rotation
Follow all food safety and sanitation policies
Collaborate with the CDP and Sous Chef on menu planning, specials, and quality control
Report equipment issues or shortages to the kitchen supervisor promptly
Requirements:
Proven experience in Chinese and Continental cooking techniques
Strong knowledge of ingredients, sauces, and cooking methods in both cuisines
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment
Leadership and training capabilities for junior staff
Good communication and time management skills
Food safety certification preferred
