o Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience Production DBA of Mission Critical Database
o 6+ years of Application Development support of data management systems, tools and architectures using Oracle, along with SQL
o Experience with Director level customers in IT/Business to craft their Enterprise Architecture and IT Strategies
o Server/Postgres/MySQL databases and/or other distributed computing systems
o Expertise with performance tuning high-volume OLTP and OLAP database systems
o Expertise in Advanced Data Guard with FSFO and replication solutions
o Expertise in backup and recovery of Database (RMAN , Cloud Environment and traditional)
o Demonstrated data modeling skills
o Expertise in Unix, Linux, Procedural Languages like PL-SQL and programming languages such as Python
o Capable of investigating, familiarizing and mastering new data sets quickly
o Extended travel to customer locations may be required to sell and deliver professional services, as needed

You will collaborate with our internal customers and partners in AWS ProServe India LLP on key engagements for internal customers and will assist in developing and delivering proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and support implementation projects in order to migrate Applications from Oracle/SQL Server databases to Aurora-PostgreSQL/MySQL or other Open Source platforms.
Our professional services engagements will focus on internal customer's solutions such as high volume OLTP/OLAP environments, batch data processing, designing and deploying future state petabyte-scale data warehouse service and building and/or designing reference configurations to enable our customers and influence AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB and Redshift adoption.
You will:
o Assist internal customers in employing customer facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, standard methodologies, project management and risk mitigation
o Work closely with AWS Platform Service Engineering and Architecture teams to help ensure the success of project consulting engagements with internal customer
o Work directly with internal customers' technical resources to devise and recommend solutions based on the understood requirements
o Think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment
o Analyze on-premises database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, or other Commercial DB Engines to Open Source Engines like Aurora-PostgreSQL/MySQL or RedShift, DynamoDB.
o Assist in consulting for optimal design of database environments, analyzing complex distributed production deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performance
o Assist in developing innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems
o Expertise in large cross platform database migration
o Expertise in Data Migration Tools like Annuity, AWS DMS, HVR and Shareplex
o SQL Server / MySQL / Postgres or Sybase Production DBA (6 years+)
o Experience with multi node RAC databases and familiarity with Oracle Applications
Experience with databases such as Netezza, Teradata, Greenplum or Vertica
o Familiarity/Expertise with new advances like NoSQL technologies like Dynamo DB, MongoDB, DocumentDB, Cassandra among others
o Familiarity with new advances in Cloud technologies like IAAS and PAAS
