• DB Technologies: MongoDB, MySQL & Cassandra.
• OS: Linux.
• Scripting: Shell scripting.
• Experience in Installation and Configuration of MongoDB, MySQL and Cassandra databases in Linux environment.
• In-depth knowledge of DB performance/scaling concepts and tuning best practices.
• Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability.
• In-depth understanding of High availability strategies.
• Ensure optimal health, integrity, and security of all databases.
• Planning efficient and appropriate tools to support production operations.
• Developing and maintaining jobs for monitoring and reporting various aspects of system performance, resource utilization, and application usage.
• Provide subject matter expertise to internal and external teams, applications developers, and others as needed.
• Support application testing and production operations.
• Document, monitor, test, and adjust backup and recovery procedures to ensure important data is available in a disaster.
• Serve as on-call database administrator on a rotational basis.
• Advanced knowledge of Database monitoring and third-party tools like Percona Monitoring Plugins (PMM) and other monitoring tools.
• Participate in change and problem management activities, root cause analysis, and development of knowledge articles to support the organizations program.
• Experience of Scripting knowledge.
• Solid knowledge on database concepts, and internals
• Strong experience in Linux Operating Systems

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years of MongoDB, MySQL & Cassandra database support experience as Database Administrator (DBA), including experience installing, configuring, designing, patching, archiving, and monitoring to include performance tuning databases
