Job Title Database Administration The Purpose of Your Role Personal and Workplace Investing (PWI) helps millions of people save and invest through individual retail accounts and workplace savings plans. PWI builds lifetime relationships with customers and provides employers with cost-effective, integrated employee benefit solutions. The company serves customers online, over the phone, and through a nationwide network of investor centers. PWI administered over $1.5 trillion in customer assets. The PWI PSS PI Database Administration Support group provides database services related to the Oracle infrastructure for multiple client facing applications. Production Support which includes 7x12 oncall support, Database Infrastructure Support, performance monitoring, 1st level performance troubleshooting, Risk/Audit compliance and Non-Prod database refreshes. Database and Oracle Application Maintenance includes Oracle Database upgrades, Database reorganizations, Security Patching, Application Upgrades. The Value You Deliver The selected candidates will provide database application life cycle support including database design, development, implementation, and support in the development and production environments. This candidate will also provide recommendations and solutions on database and application architecture, database integrity, security and availability as well as application tuning support.   • Setting up and monitoring database alerts through OEM / CRONTAB.
  • Setting up & Monitoring Replication (Oracle GoldenGate).
  • Setting up, Monitoring & troubleshooting Dataguard & RAC.

Ø Provide 12x7 support and ensure that all critical database problems are resolved in a timely manner. Ø Perform/support RDBMS software maintenance and database instance creation Ø Oracle / Tomcat Application Server administration activities including installation, monitoring.
  • Shell scripting (knowledge to understand the existing scripts and the ability to write based on requirement)
  • Prior experience in cloud migration would be added advantage
Experience and Qualifications and skills:
  • 4+ years of total experience with at least 3 years as an Oracle DBA.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Datagaurd and Oracle RAC is must.
  • Knowledge in Oracle 12c will be an advantage.
  • Should have a strong understanding of Oracle Database Concepts, Installation, Patching, Cloning and System Administration work.
  • Should be able to perform DBA activities like instance tuning, schema management, space management, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, database refresh, and SQL programming and tuning
  • Should have good exposure to performance tuning.
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Process oriented.
  • Good knowledge of performance tuning.
  • AWS or Azure cloud knowledge.
  • Multiple RDBMS will be a plus.
