Job Summary: The Data Strategist designs and develops software prototypes and constructs solutions using programming languages and tools like Hive, Impala (Cloudera), Elasticsearch (AWS), BigQuery, Cloud Data Fusion (GCP), Oracle, Alteryx, and Tableau. The responsibility would include working on application programming interfaces (APIs), implementation of reports, mapping, Integrations and all product enhancements for the IT Data Hub in Trane Technologies. This person will be responsible for preparing proposals and estimates for design and implementation of IT systems. The other responsibilities include being a liaison between the business and IT to translate functional requirements into a technical designs and specification. This person will also be responsible for testing and validation of the IT solutions. All this requires immense technical understanding of the solutions that are being proposed. Develops, designs, and creates advanced data products that support multiple users across the enterprise. Ensures strong alignment with business objectives, strategies, and goals to develop well-defined value propositions within the experience data domains. Leads ideation, business planning, scope, and build of end-to-end data capabilities. Responsibilities:

• Understand complex business data needs and translate requirements into effective data models, advance analytics tools, reporting, visualization, and dashboards. This will require the individual to proficient with the IT reporting and visualization tools and technology.
• Create data products that require technical acumen to work with databases, reports, and dashboards.
• Prepare Technical Design document, providing the details of technical architecture, process flow of block diagrams with each block representing intended functionality to be developed (coded in programming languages)
• Perform Systems Integration testing of custom objects in multiple test environments
• Perform Configurations in the applications in both test and PRD environments
• Responsible for Data extraction, analysis, mapping, clean up and conversion between applications.
• Build proofs of concept and implement complex data exchange requirements between various systems.
• Monitor and assist Software Performance issues in PRD environment.
• Provide analytical and technical support to complex data issues, identify complex patterns of relationships, and synthesize reports, business intelligence assets and data trends to improve business processes, results, and outcomes.
• Work with Solution Architects, Business Analysts and Business on the data requirements for the systems, analyze high volume data sets, and develop a data roadmap for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Build complex Data Models suited for optimum speed and storage of Data.
• Develop/Approve Unit test cases, establish data check points and Integration test cases.
• Develop tools and Dashboards for Data Deduplication, Data Quality and Data governance using Tableau, Power BI, Looker or other analytical tools.
• Perform Code reviews, tuning, benchmark conversion performance, assist in resolving performance bottle necks.
• Ensure on time delivery of the projects using AGILE methodology.
• Review Defects, drive root cause analysis and Resolution.
• Provide On-going technical development project reports to Synergy Technologies, LLC\xe2\x80\x99s Delivery Lead.
• Perform and lead activities related to large analytical capability implementations, including collaborating with architects, developers and technical staff resources on/off-shore.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years delivering results in a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Consultant, or similar role
• 5+ years of experience identifying areas where data can be used to improve business activities and making recommendations for standardization and proper data usage based on data analysis
• 2+ years of experience developing approaches and frameworks for broad data strategy initiatives, such as data governance, master data management, data quality
• A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in STEM fields Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related fields
• Strong analytical skills, ability to identify relationships between various datasets to enable stronger reporting capabilities
• Strong data modeling and querying skills using SQL, T-SQL, PLSQL, SCOOP, Python, Scala
• Experience using data analytics and reporting tools Hive, Impala, Elasticsearch, OBIEE, Looker, Power Bi, Tableau, Hue
• Ability to understand current processes and make appropriate recommendations for changes.
• Aptitude to solve complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be results driven, taking the lead with little supervision as well as working closely with fellow team members in a technical team.
