Towards this, Maersk has recently set up a Fraud Risk Management division focused on advising and assisting the various business units in its Group to minimise and manage the risk of Fraud. As part of the Fraud Risk Management team, every day is an exciting new day with new challenges coming your way. Maersk gives you a real life opportunity to see what it means when it comes to handling the various facets of fraud risk management viz. Prevention, Detection and Investigation of frauds. Prevention : as part of the prevention work stream, you will get an opportunity to help and advise the business in preventing frauds from occurring, some of them are extremely innovative given the complex business environment we operate in. Detection : as part of the detection work stream, you will be responsible for setting up world class leading fraud detection techniques including large scale data driven analytical dashboards to detect potential frauds as well as proactive fraud identification. Investigation : as part of the Investigation work stream, you will get to investigate some of the cutting edge frauds that are happening across the globe in the logistics and shipping industry. The current requirement is a part of the Detection work stream where among others, we intend to use the billions of data points Maersk generates every day to be able to not just detect frauds but eventually be able to predict frauds as well. As a Data Scientist, you will use your analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect large data sets to develop data-driven solutions explicitly tailored toward the needs of the organization. You will get an opportunity to test your data analytical skills, logical thinking, and also technical skills for creating proof of concepts by using Python, SQL, Power BI and other tools as may be necessary to achieve the end objectives. If the above excites you and you want to apply for this role, keep in mind the below requirements: 4-8 years of relevant working experience University or higher degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, is desirable. Hands on experience in using Python and SQL to build and apply data science models Experience in Power BI, or similar is a plus. Experience in business intelligence, machine learning and data science Certifications in Data analytics would be good to have Experience in identifying and implementing analytics best practices. Experience in accounting will be an added advantage Excellent analytical, problem solving, communications, and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with business at all levels Handles most situations independently with minimal guidance but will seek advice and guidance on more complex issues. Understands the overall nature of the business and the interdependencies between own and other functions. Is result driven and have a strong logical and analytical capacity Ability to coordinate and work with upstream and downstream teams to achieve excellent results within deadlines Is a self-starter with a strong driving force, striving for continuous improvement, be able to see opportunities and wanting to solve problems
