Description - Who we are looking for The Data Operations Team within SSGA Investment Operations is seeking a highly motivated and innovative data governance professional.This role will collaborate with partners across the firm to execute the various activities in our Data Modernization Strategy including establishing a data management culture and enhance data stewardship across the firm. The individual will be responsible for executing multiple data governance and data management initiatives including creating data dictionaries for our core reference data, implementing data quality programs and driving compliance with enterprise data policy. Job Responsibilities - What you will be responsible for Consult with partners globally and use your execution skills to continuously improve our data governance and data management capabilities Demonstrate your experience in business analysis, process re-engineering and automation initiatives Seek opportunities for innovation, use information to solve business problems and demonstrate competency in supporting complex projects in a virtual team environment Show a good understanding of Investment Banking Domain, be curious about how SSGA runs our business, and be knowledgeable about the SSGA application and data layers. Strengthening our data governance by meeting with partners within business and technical teams to clearly identify data governance objectives and communicate with key parties on initiatives, issues and/or changes Working with data stewards, data consumers and policy-makers to reduce risk and strengthen process Performing analysis and creating documents which outline our current and future state business model. Documents could include data analysis, business requirements, user stories, quality assurance, data flow and end-user documentation Leading operational improvement initiatives across the firm through process re-engineering and process optimization. Actively participate in strategic and tactical initiatives to move from application centric to data centric architecture. Willing to operate as an individual contributor What we value Strong understanding of data management concepts, principles and practices Prior Data Governance and/or Data Management experience Ability to understand data models, data taxonomy, and a deep appreciation of data standards and data quality Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Strong written and oral communication skills Strong presentation and interpersonal skills Prior business operations role with data focus. Experienced in managing/monitoring data platforms with data driven objectives Deep understanding of how data supports corporate strategy, is used within business processes and how to quantify its impact to business Education & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience Project Management Knowledge of Data Management applications such as Informatica, Collibra, Manta etc. Capabilities with Tableau and/or Alteryx Knowledge of SQL and VB Macros (MS Excel) Strong presentation and PowerPoint skills Shift: 1 PM to 10 PM India time. Flexible work time arrangement including work from home (WFH) is allowed dependent on necessity and preference. Need to be flexible to work with APAC and US Stakeholders.
