Data Analytics & Digital Acceleration is a newly formed team that will lead the transformation of Consumer Health towards a data and digital-first culture with the deployment of rapid, high-value end-to-end (E2E) data products and solutions. This team will be responsible for targeted E2E Data and Digital outcomes that require a cross-functional focus to unlock our growth strategy leveraging Data Science/AI and Intelligent Automation. The team is business-led, technology-enabled, and will have the responsibility to enable the achievement of the J&J Consumer Health 3-year strategic growth objectives viz. Net Trade Sales Acceleration, Gross Profit Optimization, and Free Cash flow optimization. One of the key focus areas for this team will be to address foundational data improvement in partnership with functions & regions, build Data 360 products, and set standards & policies across the enterprise. We are recruiting for a Data Quality Analyst to join our Data Analytics and Digital Acceleration team and help us push forward our data and digital-first vision!

As a trusted member of the Data Analytics and Digital Acceleration Team, this role will be uniquely positioned to work collaboratively with executives across the business and technology to passionately understand our data needs, operationalize our global Data Governance and Management approach to drive data excellence across all functions and regions, and enable outcomes that matter in our local markets.

As a strategic problem solver and experienced Data Quality professional, this role will empower our technology and business partners through the management and maintenance of high-value data assets that will be foundational in achieving our digital-first ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

The Data Quality Analyst will work to monitor and improve upon Data Quality (DQ) processes under the leadership of the MDM Expert. They will be responsible for:

Key Data Element (KDEs) accountability: Document and track KDEs that are governed globally, and ensure compliance with data-related policies, standards, and requirements. Work with businesses to identify and add new KDEs

Data Quality for KDEs: Define, continuously monitor & report governance metrics, and data quality indices (DQI) for the KDEs, to drive data accountability, standards adoption & data maturity globally. Respond to ad hoc DQ analysis requests from stakeholders

Data Quality (DQ) Processes: Conduct analysis to identify and prioritize DQ issues. Systematically track and report on lapses in the process to inform future enhancements to data flows, data architecture, and DQ test design. Contribute to enhancements of DQ controls, design, and dashboards. Work with regional Data Management Coordinators to ensure data quality issues are resolved
Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Management, or a similar field

5+ years of experience in Data Quality, Governance, or Management, with 2+ years in Data Quality. Consumer Health experience is a plus

Experience in all aspects of data quality including profiling, validation, standardization, error handling, and data cleansing

Experience creating DQ scorecards and dashboards

Professional experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)

Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL. Experience with Python and Spark is a plus

Familiarity with ETL processes and transformation logic. Knowledge of Test Automation tools is preferred

Experience designing test strategies and writing test cases that align with business requirements

Organized with the ability to balance routine data checks, ad hoc queries from business stakeholders, and long-term initiatives to enhance DQ rules and processes

Ability to create and maintain robust documentation, including written instructions, flow charts, and process maps

Strong communication skills with the ability to directly gather requirements from, and manage relationships with, internal stakeholders

Strategic thinking and big picture orientation to drive improvements to Data Quality and MDM processes

Understanding of the analytics lifecycle, including databases, data engineering, governance, and end-user workflows

The ability to manage ambiguity and work independently

Has an innovative, agile, and high-performing teaming mindset

Knowledge of any of the following areas could also be valuable:

QA Automation or Management Tools (Jira, X-Ray)

ETL tools (Informatica, Azure Data Factory, Alteryx)

Digital Analytics Tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture)

Master Data Management Tools (Reltio, Informatica, SAP)
