A Data Engineer acquires, transforms, and manages data from various sources into a useful format for analysis. A DE architects data stores in a distributed system, creating reliable data pipelines (quality and accuracy), combining data sources, driving data governance, ensuring data security & privacy. Should work closely with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, Azure & Network Administrator teams to build a scalable & compliant data and reporting system.


Experience: 3-5 years.


Responsibilities:

• Design and develop compelling data visualizations and storytelling to communicate complex business insights to stakeholders using Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI desktop and Power BI services.
• Proficient at creating complex measures using advanced DAX queries based on the business requirements.
• Writing complex sql queries to pull data from multiple sql databases.
• Good understanding of semi structured and unstructured data.
• Developing, publishing and maintaining of production reports/dashboards.
• Creating Deployment pipeline to publish reports from DEV to UAT and PROD.
• Transform data using SQL and Power Query.
• Extensive knowledge on DAX queries, Parameters and formatting techniques.
• Create good quality functional and technical documents.
• Build data model based on the reporting requirements.
• Figure out performance issues in existing reports and provide solution.
• Write SQL Stored Procedures to do data transformation.
• Build ETL pipeline using Azure Data Factory.
• Look for performance issue in existing Store Procedure and ETL pipelines and provide solution.
• Create and maintain Data warehouse on Cloud.

Skills:

• 
  
  • Expertise in BI tool like Power BI/ Tableau and exposure to ETL tools like Azure Data factory/Informatica/SSIS etc.
  • Working experience on Azure technologies like Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Datalake, ADLS Gen2, Databricks, Logic Apps, Azure Automation etc.
  • Experience working in any MPP databases.
  • Scripting experience in Python is a plus.
  • Must of understanding of Cloud Architecture.
  • Experience dealing with Highly Scalable Data systems like Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, Apache Spark.
  • Dimensional and ER data modeling.
