We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to join our team in Chennai (Preferred) or Pune.
Knowledge/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of programming experience on data platforms.
- Expertise in Data Engineering. Hands-on experience in the design and development of big data platforms.
- Deep understanding of data processing technology stacks: Spark, HBase, Hive, and other Hadoop ecosystem technologies and development using Scala or Java.
- Deep understanding of streaming data architectures and technologies for real-time and low-latency data processing
- Experience with agile development methods, including core values, guiding principles, and key agile practices
- Understanding of the theory and application of Continuous Integration/Delivery
- Experience with NoSQL technologies, including column family, graph, document, and key-value data storage technologies, is a plus.
- Understanding of relational databases, SQL, and PLSQL.
- Passion for software craftsmanship. Experience in Financial Industry is a plus.
Personal Skills
- Experienced in managing work with distributed teams
- Experience working in SCRUM methodology
- Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see through big challenges
- Confident, takes ownership, willingness to get the job done
- Excellent verbal communication and cross group collaboration skills
