Job Summary

As a part of our continued expansion, Targray requires the services of a Data Engineer, to join our Risk and Data Technology Team based at our India Office Gurgaon, Haryana.

Responsibilities

• Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
• Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems.
• Developing and maintaining databases, data systems \xe2\x80\x93 reorganizing data in a readable format.
• Performing analyses to assess quality and meaning of data and extracting value from data.
• Filtering data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems.
• Developing data access, extraction, exposure, and integration applications using technologies like SQL, Python.
• Using statistical tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction.
• Assigning numerical values to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.
• Preparing final analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps & enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.
• Working closely with other IS and Targray staff in problem resolution and will search for means to reduce common errors.

Requirements

• University degree (B.Tech./MCA) in computer science or computer application.
• Minimum 4 years proven experience in software development, business analytics and managing multiple Machine learning projects.
• Should be conversant with any industry standard ETL & reporting tool (Power BI preferable).
• Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyse data.
• Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, MySQL and Python.
• Knowledge of MS SQL queries, functions, procedures, triggers would be an added advantage.
• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.
• Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (JavaScript, Python, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases.
• Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets to find solutions.
• Statistical Knowledge in using Statistical Packages such as scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, pandas, NumPy for analysing datasets in Python.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Verbal and Written communication skills.
• Proven working experience in data analysis.
• Adherence to timelines and quality of the assigned task.
• Ability to work under pressure on multiple assignments.
• Must have excellent English oral and written communications skills.
• Must have the ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
