Job Title Data Analyst

Position Overview

Data Analysts is responsible for identifying any issues or ways to improve the collection, distribution and consumption of data. The data analysts will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify any issues or ways to improve data orchestrations. This role requires collaborating with architects and developers to implement effective automation processes.

Position Summary.

• Manage large scale data systems, data ingestion capabilities and infrastructure
• Monitor, maintain and refresh large scale data systems
• Analyze data to enable a better understanding of each data source
• Identify data sources both internally and externally that can be used to improve insight
• Utilize data exploration technologies accordingly

Overall Duties

• Ability to manage time and priorities with multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to work with loosely defined requirements.
• Analyze, query and manipulate financial and business level data
• Validate data sets are in synch with sources
• Perform reconciliations of defined data
• Self-starter mentality and the ability to think creatively.
• Identify, compare, and resolve data quality problems.
• Evaluate large dataset for quality and accuracy.
• Determine business impact level for data quality issues.
• Work with Programmers to correct data quality errors.
• Determine root cause for data quality errors and make recommendations for solutions.
• Research and determine scope and complexity of issue to identify steps to fix issue.
• Develop process improvements to enhance overall data quality.
• Develop and execute data cleanup measures.
• Maintain a record of original data and corrected data.
• Ensure adherence to data quality standards.
• Resolve all internal data exceptions in timely and accurate manner.
• Identify areas of improvement to achieve data quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and solve problems
• Proficient in MS PowerBI, and Exposure to Foundry or Snowflake a plus.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, collaboration, and trouble shooting skills

Skill Sets

SQL, Python, VBA is a plus, Must have analytical, problem solving, and a team player
