WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH Our client partner in the Mining sector, part of the Renoir Group, work for mining companies around the world. Our remit is to improve the productivity and profitability of our clients’ assets. We require an experienced Data analyst to work remotely supporting our assignments in mines around the world. You’ll be able to take raw data and turn it into meaningful data for project teams working to improve mining efficiency.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Use statistical tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets to aid diagnosis and prediction.

• Assigning numerical values to essential business functions so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time.

• Analysing local, national, and global trends that impact our clients.

• Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.

• Preparing reports stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.

• Working with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies.

• Mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyse data.

• Knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Oracle, R, VBA, Python, C#, C++

• Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.

• Experience in handling reporting packages like Business Objects, programming (Javascript, XML, or ETL frameworks), databases.

• Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analysing.

• Knowledge of data visualization software like Dundas , Microsoft BI.

• Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions.
• Ideally you should have experience/ education within Civil, Construction or Mining industries.

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE

• 
  
• Proven working experience in data analysis.
• A degree in a field with emphasis on statistical analysis.
• Experience in the construction, civil engineering or mining industries.
• The ability to work with limited supervision as this role is 100% remote.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, often to tight deadlines.
• Compelling verbal and written communication, and fluency in English.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Cultural awareness and the ability to work across multiple time zones.
