Presenting unique outside-in, merchant-/partner-first way of thinking, the team works on initiatives that expand relationships with our largest and most sophisticated customers as well as securing lighthouse deals and partnerships. : The Enterprise Performance Consulting (EPC) team is composed of data-driven consultants who are responsible for working directly with merchants. Part of the overall Enterprise Platform Growth team, EPC leverages their data analysis, creative problem solving and passion for helping to improve top merchants? payment ecosystems to resolve specific, complex performance issues. This is a global role, and the EPC team will engage with merchants across all verticals PayPal serves. The successful candidate will be an energetic and deep-thinking analyst who enjoys driving insights, putting frameworks in place to improve merchant performance, and has a proven track record of distilling complex topics into impactful narratives. This role will partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and external to help ensure the realization of key deals and continuing support for our top strategic merchants. Key Responsibilities & Accountability:
  • Act as a thought partner and trusted advisor to PayPal?s top enterprise merchants
  • Diagnose, advise on, and resolve top merchant performance concerns both during new merchant ramps and for existing strategic customers
  • Illustrate a deep understanding of the payment processing ecosystem and its underlying data components for enterprise merchants. Utilize payments data to analyze complex processing questions
  • Generate, leverage and scale insights from engagements to promote PayPal as a thought leader, empower the broader PayPal organization and proactively source new business opportunities
  • Partner with issuing banks and other partners to represent and advocate on behalf of our merchant?s performance needs
  • Work collaboratively and influence across product, engineering, and sales to address client issues
  • Act as top of funnel to our product and engineering organizations to relay merchant feedback and influence prioritization decisions
Skills, Experience and Education:
  • Extremely fluent in SQL with sharp analytical skills?ability to dig into large data sets to distil actionable insights
  • Strong track record in developing strategic insights and driving outcomes from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience in the payments industry is a plus, ideally in large enterprise card and payment processing
  • World class strategic and analytical thinking with an excellent ability to put complex ideas into clear frameworks
  • Appetite to learn and comfortable with uncertainty; payments geek with proven ability to go deep into analyzing complex processing questions
  • Strong communications (verbal, prose, PowerPoint) skills; concise, clear and convincing with external client experience
  • Ability to work hard while having fun is a must; jerks need not apply
  • Strong collaborator, with experiencing working across teams to drive results. Experience working with product and engineering is a plus
  • Bachelors Degree required, MBA or quantitative degree preferred, but not mandatory
