Data Analyst: \xc2\xb7 You will need to apply data & analytics strategies relevant to your business entity area\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 Utilize deep understanding of business operations and commercial factors to support decision-making in immediate scope\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 In addition to being hands on yourself, you ensure your team re-uses or builds on top of existing work; you advocate for tech debt removal\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 You can effectively trade-off multiple approaches and tools for the problem at hand\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 End-to-end project ownership: you independently identify problems to be solved in your team / sub-area as a result of in-depth technical and business understanding; you can concretize vague and broad problems and break them down into actionable sub-problems and tasks; you coordinate, and program manage projects involving several team members\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 Deeply understand and have applied a wide range of statistical methods, including more advanced statistical methodologies and models, e.g. causal inference from observational data.\xe2\x80\x8b \xc2\xb7 Understand the end-to-end lifecycle of the data and the data systems deployed in your immediate team; you can make simple changes to the data systems in your immediate scope; you can write and maintain advanced data pipelines (if needed); you define and implement data schemas\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 you can write and maintain moderately complex data pipelines; you have advanced scripting skills in R or python; you have expert SQL skills\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 You have deep understanding in at least one data domain area within your business entity and awareness of related domains\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 You provide leading insight of industry and technology trends and best practices; you advocate for data analytics best practices in your immediate area\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 You work with business partners across your wider team to implement continuous improvement opportunities to create safer operations, reduce cost, or other opportunities with data.\xe2\x80\x8b \xc2\xb7 You drive an open data culture across your immediate & related data domain areas to minimize silo thinking. \xe2\x80\x8b\xc2\xb7 You proactively reach out to stakeholders to identify project needs and suggests solutions. \xe2\x80\x8b\xc2\xb7 Effectively communicates orally and in writing to a technical and non-technical audience\xe2\x80\x8b. \xc2\xb7 You foster a culture that enables the I&E values including driving bp\xe2\x80\x99s digital transformation and pioneer new business models; you protect bp by assuring management of its greatest physical and digital risks; and are empathetic, curious, creative and inclusive.\xe2\x80\x8e\xe2\x80\x8b \xc2\xb7 You foster a culture that enables the Data & Analytics values, including "ideas over hierarchy", "disagree and commit", "start simple first", "be a partner to the business", "always be learning", "be an owner", "fail faster" (with exception of safety), "keep moving forward"\xe2\x80\x8b. Requirements: \xc2\xb7 5-8 years of strong python or Java data engineering experience \xc2\xb7 Experience in Developing Data Pipelines that process large volumes of data using Python, PySpark, Pandas etc, on AWS / Azure \xc2\xb7 Experience in developing ETL, OLAP based and Analytical Applications. \xc2\xb7 Experience in ingesting batch and streaming data from various data sources.\xc2\xb7 Strong Experience in writing complex SQL using any RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server etc.) \xc2\xb7 Ability to quickly learn and develop expertise in existing highly complex applications and architectures. \xc2\xb7 Exposure to AWS platform\'s data services (AWS Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Kinesis etc.) Proficiency in Azure technologies such as
Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Bricks (ADB),Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Azure data Lake Services (ADLS), Azure key vault,
Azure SQL DB, Azure HD Insight \xc2\xb7 Experience in Airflow DAGS, AWS EMR, S3, IAM and other services \xc2\xb7 Experience working on Test cases using pytest/ unittest or any other framework. \xc2\xb7 Snowflake or Redshift data warehouses\xc2\xb7 Experience of DevOps and CD/CD tools. \xc2\xb7 Familiarity with Rest APIs \xc2\xb7 Clear and precise communication skills \xc2\xb7 Experience with CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, & GIT for code management \xc2\xb7 Comfortable working in Agile projects \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
