Team/ BU: EDIA - Enterprise Data and Reporting
Job Grade: 4.3
As a Data Analyst, you will support the data analytics and delivery activities required to develop, rollout, enhance and support the regulatory, compliance and reporting initiatives within Enterprise Data and Reporting Tech area.
Data analysts deeply understand the power of data to generate quality customer insights, manage information and identify
trends to accelerate sound business decisions.
To succeed in this role,you require the ability to understand the needs of business stakeholders, identify useful insights, translate them into technical requirements and manage the implementation of solutions. You will have extensive skill in the transformation of raw data from multiple systems into advanced customer/business insights. You are also accustomed to the agile delivery framework.

Key Stakeholders: Business users, Product Owner, Journey Expert, Enterprise Data Governance, Operations Lead
What will your day look like
Working collaboratively with Product Owner, Journey Experts and Engineers within a Squad, Tribe and Function, as well with business stakeholders, Regulatory, Operations and Enterprise Data Governance you will deliver activities that cumulatively address business objectives
Analysing large data sets in order to break down complex problems into digestible tranches of work
Providing advice on how we organise, analyse and maintain our data
Managing data quality issues and drive remediation strategies
Mapping and cataloguing data elements and data assets and addressing any data quality shortcomings
Cleaning and ingesting data assets in our database
Help the business achieve great outcomes for Customers
What will you bring?
Data analysis, modelling and any engineering experience, including the ability to interrogate our data assets and pull data sets together.
Expertise in Data Warehousing (Teradata/Oracle) & ETL (Data stage) tools.
High attention to detail and ability to operate without day-to-day direction. Must be self-driven, and be able to navigate one's way around new tools and teams to gain the knowledge required in order to perform your role end-to-end
Experience with various data capabilities
Understanding of metadata and data lineage
Designing for data simplification
Understanding of the data lifecycle
Developing tools or solutions in various applications or coding/scripting languages (e.g. Tableau, SQL, Python)
Ability to translate quantitative & qualitative information and relay insights through narratives & visual means
Experience identifying, analysing and resolving data quality issues
Experience executing activities with Agile in mind, as well as investigating facts to support a business cases from a data perspective
Comfortable building trusted and productive relationships across the organisation with a strong ability to influence and succeed through collaboration
Business analysis experience with understanding of data quality and data protection / privacy management practices
