Job Title & Purpose Job Title Signalling Services Operation Engineer Purpose of the Job The purpose of this job is to effectively deliver the operational aspects of the SIG Services contracts in terms of Planning, Parts supply, treat Obsolescence and alerts towards customers. This position will be a pivot for Services field operations teams and upstream teams to liaise with Alstom internal Services business units for parts supplies, repairs etc. Will also have the role of Customer Service for the Service contracts facing the customer. Position in the Organisation Organisation Structure Represent Signalling Services Operations for techno commercial topics. Organisational reporting Operation Manager of Services -Signalling Key Network and link PI Managers, Project Managers, Project Contract managers, Supply Chain & Logistics teams, Off Shore Services teams, Central Platform teams ,Project Quality teams and end Client. Mission & Responsibilities Working on existing and new Service Bids for Metro & main Line Coordinating and responsible for new Spares & Service Orders into the ERP System and Involved in placing orders at Intra company and with Procurement team for external suppliers . Pull & Push for Intra company orders ( Service & Spares) & even responsible for managing with Procurement for external suppliers . Coordinate with projects teams for mobilisation of DLP & Maintenance projects in terms of materials & resources . Working with Logistics team for spares & repairs Tracking Working with Supply chain teams for issuing PR , purchase orders , Warehouse daily tracking reports & Tracking Involved with Procurement team for collecting offers for Spares & repairs Execution of repair and return process as per the agreed timelines within the Service contracts Responsible for delivery of spares & repairs project wise . Co-ordinates with the project specific AMC Managers to ensure contractual terms are met in terms of minimum inventory , delivery etc Liaise with SCM team for outbound and inbound logistics, customs clearances and delivery to warehouses & also responsible and accountable for the Service spares inventory. Processes: Understand the global Alstom Services processes and deploy the same at India site. Also design and implement best in class local processes to delivery excellence in service to customer Parts supply: Processes customer orders, supports on internal order booking and involved in placing Purchase orders on Internal suppliers (AT) sites and on with Procurement team for external Pos Work with industrial team deliver Industrial products to customers as needed in contracts. Responsible for managing catalogue / price list locally and work with AT units to update the same. Analyse the Obsolescence charter for the project and plan & Initiate procurement process for materials as required Liaise with SCM team for outbound and inbound logistics, customs clearances and delivery to warehouses & also responsible and accountable for the Service spares inventory Performance Measurement . Cost monitoring, Optimisation and Reporting. . Turnaround time for repairs and returns with suppliers. . On Time material deliveries to customers. . Managing and minimizing Inventory. Candidate requirements Educational Requirements Educated to University Degree level in Engineering. Minimum 12 -15 years\' experience with at least last 8-10 years in Urban Rail/Railway Industry Experience / Operational & Functional Know How Product / system knowledge in Urban Railway industry is a must Project Management knowledge is desirable Good understanding of Production & Logistics & Indian Customs Processes is essential Operational effectiveness /Accountability Communication with Transparency / teamwork Working knowledge of SAP ERP Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow\'s mobility.
