Dow Construction Chemicals has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Customer Manager located in Mumbai, India.

The Customer Manager is responsible for revenue growth and customer experience for medium to large-sized customers in India Subcontinent covering India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, including new business development, sales tools and analytics utilization, product knowledge and relationship management. It requires a high degree of collaboration, communication and cooperation across multiple functions.

Beyond today\'s sales, a key objective is to explore opportunities across all market segments. This will require developing strong, in-depth relationships with customers in the construction chemicals industry. It will require a mentality to hunt for and convert opportunities. Strong teamwork will be required between the individual assuming this role and other functions contributing to our growth initiatives. This would include Marketing, Sales Service, Technical Service and Research & Development among others.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages account portfolio and prepares and implements sales plans.
  • Leads and coordinates customer relationships working to understand customer needs and identify potential new clients.
  • Produces appropriate sales forecasts and is able to capitalize on/ compensate for market changes.
  • Input information in CRM and SmartPrice providing the required documentation aligned to the Dow sales processes.
  • Develops and executes sales and marketing plans delivering business goals of volume and value.
  • Collects and utilizes market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.
  • Leads and conducts negotiations and implements price changes and strategies.
  • Collaborates with other functions and stakeholders to deliver CX results.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum Chemical Bachelor\'s degree and/or Chemical industry experience is considered a plus but not mandatory.
  • Industry experience in Construction Chemicals is preferred
  • Fluency in English, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sales related experience desired \xe2\x80\x93 Other experiences will also be highly considered. Supply chain, Commercial excellence or Operations.
  • Demonstrate high levels of motivation and deliver outstanding results.
  • Remains focused despite challenging circumstances.



Preferred Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal skills are critical to developing relationships with industry leaders and key influencers across the construction chemicals industry
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to identify and drive business opportunities to deliver business results
  • Ability to work independently and be strategic in thinking in ambiguous situations


Additional notes:
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50-60% of the time).
