Role Description/Position Summary The primary responsibility of this role of Field Service Engineer is to handle mainly XRF (X-Ray fluorescence Spectrometers). Attend installation, maintenance, and break-down calls of the customer. Developing knowledge on Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES) is an added advantage. Responsibility, Skills and Experience Requirement: Responsibilities: To ensure we deliver a world-class experience to our customers by providing proactive service support for our Equipments. Develop a win-win relationship with customers and project Thermo Fisher as a valued partner. Provide pre-installation, installation, warranty & maintenance contract services. Meet or exceed the business commercial plan. Embrace Thermo Fisher culture & methodology to achieve all service KPI. To work closely with other functions like Sales, Supply Chain, Service Operation team, Finance etc., and ensure we meet targeted organic growth for the business. Participate in the implementation of process improvement initiatives associated with customer-centric service operations. Maintain and update all necessary records related to the customers for whom he is the primary engineer. Guide customers in planning and maintaining optimum spare stock. Skills: Ability to plan and ensure on-time execution of PM, BD, and installations will be highly important to meet customer requirements as well as meet business revenue and booking targets. He should have knowledge of the handling of high-value sensitive electrical and electronic-based equipment. The job demands extensive touring and therefore, the candidate should be ready to travel frequently. Candidate should possess the excellent skill to communicate with customers in English both verbally as well as in writing. Minimum Requirements & Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics / Instrumentation with minimum 75% marks in aggregate Minimum 3 years Field experience in servicing of Analytical instruments. Travel up to 75% of the time.
