Role DescriptionADEC Infocomm Private Limited is looking for a full-time Crop Analyst to join our team in Chennai, with the flexibility to work some hours remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for using data analysis and technology to advance crop yields for agriculture businesses. The Crop Analyst will work closely with our data science and IT teams to design, develop, and maintain software and systems that will provide data-driven insights for our clients. Responsibilities:As a Crop analyst, you are expected; * To examine the data to determine patterns and trends in economic activity. Also, conduct research to collect data and market samples.
* Use the predictions obtained from the research to inform, influence, and improve the business decisions of clients and agricultural organizations.
* To determine market indicators like farm income and food prices, they study many areas, such as:
Natural resource management, Agricultural policy, Food Science, Farm Credit, Agricultural marketing systems, and Commodity exchanges.To perform the importance of agriculture at business meetings and conferences to encourage further research or investment in a particular area. QualificationsExperience in an agriculture domain-specific software or service development
Experience in programming languages such as R, Python, MATLAB, and other analytical or statistical software tools.
Hands-on experience with GIS tools and spatial data analysis and techniques
Working experience in software development and statistical modellng is desirable
Degree in Agriculture, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields
Experience in computer vision and deep learning is a plus
