\xe2\x80\x9cThe protection of Alstom employees, sites, assets, projects in progress, as well as sensitive information, represents nowadays a necessity for our company development. \xe2\x80\x9c Security encompasses all active and passive measures allowing Alstom to guard itself against, and react to, any kind of intentional malicious action, both in material and immaterial fields. In this frame, the Country Security Manager implements and oversees Alstom security policies and procedures in India. He/she will contribute to the performance and value creation of the cluster by protecting Alstom people, assets, sites, projects and sensitive information and by implementing crisis management processes. He/she will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing security measures to ensure a secure environment for Alstom people, assets and activities,
  • Implementing measures to ensure economic security and to protect Alstom sensitive information within his / her area of responsibility,
  • Rolling out crisis management processes and a dedicated organization in this area. Alstom is an equal opportunity employer

Other reporting to: Alstom India Managing Director (MD) Direct reports: Site security managers / coordinators

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
  • Management/Update/Follow-up of Alstom Security Policy in India:
  • Assess the threat and identify the security risks for Alstom in the country,
  • Define and implement Security rules and processes at country level,
  • Implement, manage and update the relevant country Security organization,
  • Manage the Security officers, coordinators or contractors on sites and projects (or support them) within the country.
  • Follow the general political, social and Security situation in India and in any country as far as security in India is concerned, in order to assist the Country Managing Director in his assessments of all security issues,
  • Provide advice and recommendations to Alstom India MD on security issues and ensure coordination with all Security stakeholders (external and internal),
  • Edit and update the country Security Plan and control the sites / projects security plans,
  • Ensures that staff is aware of its individual responsibilities as defined in plans and supporting procedures,
  • Implement the relevant processes and measures to ensure Security of Company travelers coming to or leaving India.
  • Keep an updated POB (People On Board) at country level,
  • Implement the relevant measures to ensure Security of expatriate and local staff,
  • Participate in the bid preparation process within the country. In this framework, contribute to the definition (based on a risk analysis) and the cost estimate of the security aspects of the country projects in coordination with the Bid managers, tendering teams and Projects Managers,
  • Implement at country level the Group rules for economic security and sensitive information protection,
  • Serve as liaison for security related topics with French embassy and consulates throughout the country,
  • Create and maintain effective work relationship with security network within the country (security providers, security managers from other foreign or local companies\xe2\x80\xa6),
  • Ensure compliance of any Security measure implemented within the country with established security policies in Chief Security Office,
  • Draft and implement country crisis management procedures, according to the Group Security Policy. Manage Security crisis and serious incidents at country level,
  • Organize the protection of Alstom main events in the country (meetings, events), implementing adequate measures beforehand to prevent any major incidents

EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements Mandatory: College degree in Business Administration, law enforcement, security or equivalent trainings, English speaking
Experience Mandatory:
  • Previous experience in the military, law enforcement or private security
  • Previous supervisory experience
In-depth knowledge of national and/or regional security environment and security issues. Desirable: Previous crisis management experience preferred
Competencies & Skills
  • Advanced knowledge about national and regional security environment; field experience in the country
  • Crisis management ability,
  • Experience in drafting security plans,
  • Ability to adapt to constant change, to manage multiple tasks and to deal with complex, stressful situations,
  • Excellent spoken and written and synthesizing skills in English (skills in French language would be best) ,
  • Confidentiality & Multicultural sensitivity
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization and outside the organization).
  • Analytical and problem solving skills to implement/review adequate security measures
  • Experience in organizing and managing staff/team work
