:BU : RE BU Job Role : Costing Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Civil Location : Chennai - HQ Reports to (Job \xe2\x80\x93 Role) : Civil Coordinator - Tendering & HQ Operations Reportee (Job \xe2\x80\x93 Role) : - Minimum Qualification : Degree in Civil Engineering Relevant Experience : 2 to 5 years Objective / Purpose Shall be responsible for Techno-commercial evaluation of tenders for Civil Works, Coordination with relevant concerned stake holders, Collection or market rates / inputs, risk assessment, evaluating possible cost optimization measures and costing of tender BOQ. Key Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Preliminary evaluation of tender technical specifications & drawings for civil works \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordination with tender team & design team for detailed technical evaluation of tenders \xe2\x80\xa2 Identification of potential risks & raising technical query if any for the same \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordination with Site Visit Team for collection of site inputs & local market rates \xe2\x80\xa2 Deployment of technical agencies during initial stages of Bid for preliminary activities like soil investigation / hydrology / bathymetry to ascertain the site & for better competitive design. \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluation of design BOQ against the tender requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Evaluation of possible cost optimization measures as per the tender requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Collections of quotes / offers from market/ subcontractors for critical & major items. \xe2\x80\xa2 Costing of tender BOQ \xe2\x80\xa2 Collection & evaluation of competitor technical & execution strategy. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining cost database of tenders Sensitivity: LNT Construction Internal Use Technical Expertise: \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in tendering / costing of solar projects shall be preferred. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in tendering / costing of Power, Heavy civil and Infrastructure Projects \xe2\x80\xa2 Adequate knowledge in IS/Equivalent codes relevant to the job profile. Operating Network: Internally: Civil Coordinator, related stake holders of tender \xe2\x80\x93 Tendering Team, Tender Design team, Operations Teams \xe2\x80\x93 Cluster & Site Externally: Client Technical Team Key Value Drivers \xe2\x80\xa2 Customer satisfaction \xe2\x80\xa2 Stakeholder Management \xe2\x80\xa2 Time & Cost Management Software Skills Required: \xe2\x80\xa2 MS Office - Word, Excel, Power point, etc \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge in Project management tools preferably MSP & Primavera Behavioural Attributes: \xe2\x80\xa2 Logical thinking & reasoning \xe2\x80\xa2 Good problem-solving skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Providing attention to details \xe2\x80\xa2 Be Productive/ results orientated. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good communication skills.
