Electronics - DTC- Senior Costing Engineer - ( 2200068X )
The candidate should have the following criteria.

Strong knowledge of Should Costing & sourcing of Automotive (Mechanical) components.
Must be aware of various manufacturing process & its associated costs
Cost estimation of Die casted, Machined, Sheet metal, Non-ferrous & Plastic components.
Exposure on benchmark and assembly process costing & Tear down analysis
Should have good experience in cost model preparations
Exposure to RM, labor rates across the globe
Should have hands-on experience in estimate should costing of parts for different location across the globe
Able to calculate machine hour rates for different global locations
Preferred knowledge in costing software like TcPCM , apriari ,DFM, etc.,
Experienced in working with cross functional team
Knowledge on the production, manufacturing processes for the child parts, assemblies and full products
Knowledge of various methods of VAVE & cost reduction
Knowledge of estimation of Tooling cost
Should be a team player
Exposure to global markets

Roles & Responsibilities:

In this role, the candidate is expected to handle the below functions.

Link with Global Commodity (Purchasing) & Design-to-Cost (DtC) teams.
Evaluate the DtC ideas and Estimate the cost savings by doing Should-Costing.
Schedule weekly tracking of the activities
Actively involving DtC workshops by contributing cost savings ideas and carryover ideas to other projects.
Develop cost models for new technologies and Generation products for design to cost purpose
Establish and maintain a strong cost database which can be used for VA/VE and Should costing.
Estimating the benchmark costing for full product and cost report generation
Interacting with global purchase team on regular basis for various cost database & supplier information
In order to improve precise cost estimation, develop cost methods, cost models and database on a weekly basis.
Working on various commodities and analysing cycle time, Secondary process cost and labor cost

: BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Education: BE/ B.Tech (Engineering)
