The Risk Intelligence Analyst, Risk Management is a member of UnitedHealth Group\'s (UHG) Corporate Security team. The Corporate Security group is responsible for the Enterprise Workplace Security Program that facilitates the protection of the company\xe2\x80\x99s global workforce and physical assets through security risk management programs. The Risk Intelligence Analyst will report to the Associate Director, Risk Intelligence, within Corporate Security\xe2\x80\x99s Risk Management organization.
The Risk Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, triaging, analyzing, and reporting all-source security intelligence of relevance to UHG, including but not limited to topics such as political violence, social unrest, terrorism, criminal activity, insider threats, fraud, and workplace violence. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to identifying threats and emerging risks, critical incident notification and developing a variety of tactical and strategic security risk products to support the company\xe2\x80\x99s immediate and long-term strategic and operational objectives.
Qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience in the intelligence field (private sector and/or public sector) and working across a highly matrixed, global organization. Candidates must be able to maintain strong internal partnerships with key business and functional stakeholders and demonstrate strong written and verbal communications skills.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and evaluate all-source security intelligence; employ intelligence resources to identify and assess security risks which could impact the company\xe2\x80\x99s employees, assets and/or operations in the near, medium, and long term
  • Prepare a variety of intelligence reports, including but not limited to routine updates, situational reports, location risk reports, security risk assessments and strategic analyses of complex, nuanced and/or broad security topics of relevance to the business
  • Develop forecasts, trend and predicative analysis reports and in-depth research reports of security issues and/or events which pose security risks to the business
  • Develop operational security risk assessments for key business activities (e.g., travel, corporate events, executive meetings) and site security requirements
  • Provide live monitoring during key business activities and ongoing monitoring of known threats
  • Provide situational monitoring during periods of heightened risks and reporting on critical events with impact to employees, assets, and/or operations
  • Brief Corporate Security, cross-functional and business partners on security events and risk assessments
  • Work with Corporate Security management to develop intelligence and risk assessment methodologies, create templates, standardize deliverables, and create processes and operational procedures for communicating and disseminating intelligence
  • Support the collection and aggregation of internal security data, information, and metrics
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal stakeholders
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with corporate intelligence partners in peer organizations and with government and law enforcement agencies
  • Maintain a strong understanding of corporate intelligence best practices and emerging industry trends and tools
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). This role requires after-hours on call availability. Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of five years of private sector and/or public sector intelligence (or related) experience
  • Experience and comfort presenting sensitive information to stakeholders and leaders in a concise manner
  • Ability to draw conclusion through synthesizing multiple sources or information into a comprehensive product
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to effectively deal with high levels of ambiguity - can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, and can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty
  • Ability to work effectively during a crisis situation
  • Strong written communication skills; strong proficiency in MS Office products
  • Strong leadership engagement, communication, and presentation skills to include personal briefings, PPTs and written summaries
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
