Job Objective

To carry out financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and manage activities related to Group Companies within the limits of corporate policies, accounting standards, guidelines specified by SEBI, and the Companies Act. The objective is to prepare accounts and MIS, track and prepare budgets for consolidated financial statements, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Essential Job Tasks
Prepare accounts and MIS for corporate accounts.

Track and manage budgets to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Ensure correct and accurate financial reporting in line with company policies and accounting standards.


Areas of Responsibility

1. Budgeting and Planning on Consolidated basis:
Send communication to all legal entities for budget planning. Receive budgets from each department indicating expenses for new initiatives/plans.

Prepare draft budget after comparing with previous years' results as well as current year estimates.

Prepare reports and analyze budgets, prioritize and reallocate expenses as required. Compile all interim budget figures and related documents.



2. Financials and Reporting on Consolidated basis:
Prepare all MIS reports based on information received from legal entities. Ensure the monthly/quarterly reports are diligently prepared and all tasks are performed within timelines.

Prepare variance analysis for profit and loss account on a quarterly and annual basis.

Preparation of Consolidated Financial Results - Quarterly/Annual basis - send the closing instruction plan to subsidiaries, joint ventures & associates for the quarterly closing; request for data in prescribed format.

Prepare the Consolidated Financial Results (Consolidated Profit & Loss Account) from the data and get the same reviewed at the first level from VP. Liaise with the auditors for the audit of the Consolidated Profit & Loss Account and finalize and get the same signed by the auditors.

Forward the Consolidated P&L Account to the management.

Prepare and review balance sheet to ensure account balances are supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with policies of the organization.

Prepare/Review of Cash Flow Statement, Related Party Transactions, Notes to Account, etc., forming part of the Financial Statement.

In case of acquisitions, review financial statements of the target; understand how consolidation of financial statements can be done and its impact; coordinate with target officials for closure.



3. Statutory Compliance & Audit:
Ensure smooth conduct of audit of Consolidated financial statements.

Prepare and provide various statements/reconciliations/schedules required by auditors, provide explanation to their queries on quarterly and yearly basis. Implement recommendations of seniors and auditors.

Ensure compliance of all statutory and implement corrective actions as brought out by the audit observations.


Required Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA)/ Masters in Commerce or Finance (M.Com./MBA) or equivalent.
