The role involves ensuring optimum functionality of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and civil systems, while maintaining the highest safety and sustainability standards in line with hospitality industry benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Define and implement corporate-level engineering standards, policies, and procedures across all properties.
Lead multi-property engineering teams to ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and compliance.
Operations & Maintenance:
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules across properties.
Ensure uninterrupted operations of utilities such as electricity, water supply, HVAC, fire safety systems, and other essential infrastructure.
Monitor AMC contracts, vendor performance, and energy-saving initiatives.
Project Management:
Lead CAPEX projects including renovations, retrofitting, sustainability upgrades, and new hotel developments.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per quality standards.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, fire & life safety norms, and environmental standards.
Implement and monitor safety protocols across properties.
Financial & Budgeting:
Prepare and control engineering budgets for all units.
Optimize energy and utility costs through innovative solutions.
Track and report ROI on major engineering projects.
Team Development:
Mentor, train, and guide property-level chief engineers and their teams.
Build a strong succession pipeline and ensure adherence to corporate engineering culture.
