We're looking for an engineer with a background in voice/telecommunication to work with our global tooling infrastructure team with exposure: . Experience with Cisco UC Voice services, Session Boarder controllers (Oracle SBC) and cloud-based platform (MS Teams & Skype). . experience with software development lifecycle and processes . Strong distributed systems knowledge . Well-versed in agile processes, continuous integration, and test automation . Capable of operating from conception through continuous operation of 24x7 services. Ideally, you have experience in a DevOps environment. . Hands-on experience with cloud technologies . Support the wider global team in day-to-day operations & progressing project implementations. . Provide Level 2 technical support capabilities to assist L1 operations teams meet their objectives. Escalate problems and incidents to engineering teams and/or Vendors. . Represent the Core Voice tools team as subject matter expert at a variety of stakeholder meetings from incident through projects to service delivery . Ensure workflows, processes, tooling, and applications are of the requisite standard . Contribute expertise to the management of existing and new IT products & services . Manage & escalate risks where appropriate to minimize actual or potential issues to our infrastructure & resources . Your team You'll be working for the Core Voice Tools team in a cross regional roll. The team comprise of a small number of members in APAC, EMEA, AMER and the Swiss region. We provide L1/L2/L3 operational support for Core Voice engineers globally, with primary focus on voice applications and tools. Our remit is diverse from operational support to project delivery and working alongside our voice DevOps engineering teams. Our technology platforms from industry include Nectar, Proteus, Kurmi and Netscout which all integrate into our Cisco UC systems & Oracle SBCs, Teams/Skype and tailored CAS middleware underpinning the SmartCall CRM products. Your expertise Ideally 7+ years of the following: . Hands-on experience in the Core Voice products & services space - including Cisco UC, and Oracle SBCs. Troubleshooting skills and methods are major requirements. . Working knowledge of windows, Linux server infrastructure, and databases. We are looking for people who know their way around a server to undertake application support not MCSE engineers. . Working knowledge of SNMP monitoring in a global environment. Experience with Nectar an advantage . Working knowledge of CDR call capturing applications. Experience with Proteus an advantage . Working knowledge of automation in a voice context. Experience with Kurmi an advantage . Experience working with MS Teams and Skype . Experience with Azure cloud technologies (azure foundations certification required) . Experience working with vendors. . Experience with Agile/ scrum principles and DevOps environments (continuous improvement/software release management) . Experience writing change management methodologies and implementing deployments into production environments. Knowledge of ServiceNow an advantage. . Knowledge of Python, PowerShell or Linux is a distinct advantage and sets you apart from the rest . Understanding of Jira, confluence and Tableau an advantage . Understanding of ITIL processes . Ability to communicate with senior stakeholders during challenging circumstances such as incidents . Experience working in a global environment with stakeholders across multiple geographies . Strong Cross-team communication and collaboration skills is a must . Some who is curious, collaborative, humble and willing to 'get in the trenches' with the team to get the work done. . Qualification - Any technical graduation To be successful in this role your application will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience in four distinct areas: . Voice telecommunication knowledge and experience . Server management and application support knowledge and experience . Your ability to communicate, collaborate, and have strong stakeholder management . Attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making ability in a complex business and regulatory environment.
