Fault management/configuration of VOLTE/IMS Network

Technical requirements

In Depth Hands on different Nokia core Platforms of IMS - CFX, TAS, MRF, SBC

Good working experience on Linux, all commands expertise and scripting

Database skills on any LDAP, clear concepts and simple query execution, SQL

IP basics and understanding of concepts and working on IP v4 and V6

Strong Knowledge in SS7 protocols, Specially SIP, MAP, CAMEL, SOAP and DIAMETER

Expertise on Network Protocols to find the failure according to traces.

Manage Critical Faults and Outages in the network without any support.

Proficient on VoLTE, IMS architecture & functional units

Good understanding of IMS call flow

Role details

  • Provide 24/7 L2 support on CS/IMS Core network elements by Fault resolution of network and customer faults in a timely and efficient manner
  • Good understanding on call flows according network.
  • Expertise on IMS & MSC Network along with Signalling.
  • Develop, maintain and perform L2 heath checks and scripts is verified
  • Expertise on Network Protocols to find the failure according to traces.
  • Manage Critical Faults and Outages in the network without any support.
  • Coordinate with L3 support team for resolution of faults in timely manner
  • Develop other team members to enhance their technical expertise
  • Assess and mitigate risk of any network changes and Identification of any issues affecting performance or KPI's
  • Review, awareness and approval of CR activity and participate in Daily CR Review meetings
  • Ensure any new network elements that are to be commissioned into the network are operationally accepted to avoid performance issues.
  • Life Cycle management of all CS Core Network Elements and also to capture Tech notes to identify the known risk.
  • Special event management, readiness, checks and preparations
  • Performing Impact assessment review and get the IA approved by Engg and agree with Care and Engg on the rollout plan
  • Prepare and execute the TOL (test Object List) and provide the test report review
  • Upgrade the Model Nodes and test the Software and prepare the implementation plan and present it to customer along with test results and Risks
  • Upgrade the production nodes and ensure performance is monitored
  • Verification of implementation of network configuration changes in accordance with detailed designs
  • Ensure Audit of network w.r.t to major and minor KPIs are monitored
  • Preparation of agreed CS Core SLAs on weekly and Monthly basis and get them review with Service management.
  • Preparation of Performance KPIs and take the appropriate actions to ensure KPIs are maintained at the agreed thresholds
  • Develop and support of various O&M and Routine procedures and any tools to assist and improve in maintaining the network.
  • Provide technical support to Operations in performance, capacity and configuration to maintain and optimize Network performance
  • Participate in a on call roster and maintain flexible hours when required
  • Provide vendor escalation
  • Assist the team in process improvement
  • Provide emergency support
  • Other activities as directed by management
