The IT Project Tech Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops detailed IT work plans, schedules; project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
  • Interfaces with senior project staff and client senior management teams regarding status of projects.
  • Recommends and oversees process improvements.
  • Has considerable business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards.
  • Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of IT project leadership.
  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others (i.e., architecture or infrastructure) collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
  • Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.
  • Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts; allocates work.
  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Persuades and influences others through and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:
  • 12+ years experience in a related technology role and subject matter expert in overall field

Education:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required. Job Purpose: This role is for a highly process-oriented and dynamic individual responsible for governing the Core Accounts Projects with particular focus on the Core Accounts Transformation. In this role the successful candidate will act as a servant leader liasing with the others key roles of the initiative to manage and maintain the projects and program and the related milestones in our Project Management tool in all of its aspects (documentation, RAG, status, milestones and roadmaps, risks/issues and dependencies, KPIs etc - including the financial forecast) and in compliance with our Program and Project Management process and the underlying standards. In particular the individual will participate to the prioritization of the milestones and the projects that would be funded against the assigned program, tracking the progress and KPIs during the project execution. The resource will be also involved in the preparation of executive management decks. Job Background/context: Core Accounts is a global product whose applications are key for the proper operation of TTS and for the franchise. The Core Accounts Transformation is one of strategic initiatives part of global TTS. This role is very important in ensuring that an adequate level of tracking, reporting and alignment to our compliance. The resource will operate as the bridge between the delivery teams and our executives, working in cooperation with the initiative governance. The successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented and have very strong stakeholder management skills. Previous expertise in similar program governance and/or PMO work is a preferred requirement. Expert verbal and written communication is a requirement of the role. The following requirements represent a strong plus:
  • Deep knowledge of the Treasury & Trade Services business
  • ICG Project and Program Management Standard
  • PTS 2.0
  • TTS Jira
  • Qliksense or other Data Analytics tools or automation tools
Key Responsibilities: The requirements and responsibilities for the role include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Identify and maintain milestones
  • Track the KPI during the project execution
  • Monitor and review the RAG, status, risk, issues, dependencies etc
  • Prioritize the projects assigned to program in agreement with the Core Accounts Transformation head and the key stakeholders
  • Manage and assign the resources to projects and maintain the forecast within the program target, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Work with the program governance team, the Core Accounts Transformation head and the key stakeholders to Identify, coordinate and manage the program milestones
Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and senior management communication.
  • Demonstrated experience in the program governance and oversight
  • Experience working with stakeholders of differing backgrounds
