THE POSITION: The most important aspect of this position is the ability to understand technical processes within a regulatory framework. The application of technology and process improvement to increase both the accuracy and speed of operational teams will be a crucial requirement for this position. The person in this role will be responsible for support of the Compliance Services Business Unit in aspects involving all operational software tools including but, not limited to, the medical information and pharmacovigilance systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by: . Maintain working knowledge of all of the relevant business processes and the software tools required to support those processes . Perform tier 1 application support for the medical information system and related software in cases where such support requires an expert knowledge of Compliance Service\'s current business processes and client specific workflow requirements and falls under the purview of the Business Process team . Responsible for coordinating support tickets, data entry, and data maintenance for the medical information system and related applications . Help identify process improvements for the following functions: data entry and data reconciliation. . Participate in software testing (user acceptance testing) and software validation activities to include execution and documentation of test scripts . Work with internal project managers and client representatives with various database-related projects All other duties as assigned MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required. . Education College degree or equivalent work experience in software support or project management . Language Excellent written and spoken English language skills are required . Experience and/or Training Excellent telephone and customer service skills. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Conscientious and efficient. . Technology/Equipment Proficiency with standard desktop computing programs (i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power-Point) is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: . Education College degree or equivalent work experience . Experience and/or Training Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent interpersonal skills. Licenses/Certificates Any certificates related to computer software support, project management or regulatory functions in life sciences or any medical industries will be helpful. Technology/Equipment Experience working with medical information databases (e.g. IRMS) and/or drug safety databases (e.g. ARIS-G, ARGUS) is desirable. Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $91,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).
