Job Description

The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food items as per the standard recipes and hygiene guidelines. The role ensures quality, consistency, and timely service to guests or staff.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare and cook food items according to menu and standard recipes. Ensure all dishes are presented well and served at the right temperature. Assist in daily food preparation, cutting, marination, and mise-en-place. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area at all times. Follow food safety standards (FSSAI) and hotel SOPs. Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use. Manage portion control to minimize wastage. Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating stock (FIFO method). Coordinate with senior chefs for smooth kitchen operations. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Follow instructions for special dietary or allergen-specific meals.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Cook or Commis in hotel/restaurant. Basic knowledge of different cooking methods and cuisines. Understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced and hot kitchen environment. Team player with good communication skills. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
