Job Description

Key Responsibilities:



1. Meal Preparation & Cooking



Plan, prepare, and cook meals based on menu plans or family preferences. Ensure all dishes are prepared with high-quality ingredients and presented attractively. Prepare meals for daily dining and special occasions. Cater to dietary restrictions, allergies, and nutritional preferences.

2. Menu Planning & Innovation



Develop weekly and seasonal menus. Introduce new recipes, cuisines, and presentation styles. Maintain balance between taste, nutrition, and cost efficiency.

3. Kitchen Management



Oversee the cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene of the kitchen area. Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and maintained properly. Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (FSSAI / HACCP).

4. Inventory & Cost Control



Manage inventory of groceries, raw materials, and kitchen supplies. Place orders for ingredients as needed, ensuring minimal wastage. Maintain records of purchases and control food costs efficiently.

5. Staff Supervision (if applicable)



Supervise and train kitchen helpers. Assign duties and ensure teamwork and discipline in the kitchen.

6. Event & Special Function Coordination



Prepare menus and dishes for parties, gatherings, and VIP events. Coordinate with the House Manager or F&B team for food service arrangements.

Skills & Qualifications:



Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or private residence. Strong knowledge of various cuisines (Indian, Continental, Chinese, etc.). Excellent culinary, knife, and plating skills. Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and inventory control. Creativity, time management, and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:



Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant cooking experience. Certification in Food Safety & Hygiene preferred. Good communication and interpersonal

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
