Job Description

Food preparation

Cooking and plating

: Cook various dishes using methods like baking, grilling, or frying. Plate and garnish food attractively for presentation.

Kitchen maintenance

: Set up and stock cooking stations. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace and properly store food.

Safety and compliance

: Adhere to all health and safety standards, including proper food handling and storage procedures.

Inventory management

: Monitor stock levels, notify management of shortages, and properly rotate stock.

Teamwork

: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely order preparation and assist where needed.
Skills and qualifications

Experience

: Proven experience as a cook or similar role.

Skills

: Knowledge of various cooking methods, techniques, and equipment. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge

: Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Education

: A high school diploma or equivalent is often required, with a culinary degree or certification being a plus.
