Summary: What you need to know about the role- You will be a part of Corporate Controllership within the Finance organization. The Global Intercompany team plays a pivotal role in supporting PayPal\'s daily Intercompany activity, as well as any new Project integrations and M&A activities, ensuring that we operate with integrity in an efficient manner, supporting a continuous improvement process. You will be in a high visibility role that requires an understanding of US GAAP principles to oversee the daily accounting operations, month-end close and special projects. : Your way to impact - As a Controllership Accountant, you would be responsible for supporting the Global Intercompany team\'s critical objectives including the following - Support and oversee PayPal Intercompany transactions daily, ensuring daily, and monthly close activities are completed accurately and on time. Support automation opportunities, and simplify our processes by enforcing/influencing standard procedures globally and challenging exceptions. Business Partnering so that we can keep up to speed with changes in the business and quickly adapt/re-design processes as needed. Ability to influence where you do not have direct authority. Your day to day - Provide hands-on support within the Global Intercompany team including functional guidance of our business process outsourced team (IBM) and escalate issues to IBM team accordingly. - Support the opportunities within the Global Intercompany function to streamline tasks to improve accuracy, decrease process complexity, identify process gaps, and build bandwidth for additional in-take. - Daily Close - support daily close management and oversee FBO Intercompany results - Month-End Close - support monthly close management and review of Global Intercompany Processes - Support timely resolution of escalated intercompany issues with key business partners (i.e., International Controllers, Tax, Treasury, etc.) - Support and maintain SAP CORP and FBO processes automation. Apply critical thinking to be able to identify and troubleshoot system issues and solutions with the FADS team to drive timely resolution of these issues. Team-oriented individual and self-starter who excels at learning new processes and business functions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the professional confidence and credibility to effectively engage and interact with partners. Detail oriented and have a reputation for getting things done.
