About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Control Management Specialist... In this role, you will: Participate in mitigating current and emerging risk exposures associated with the activities and operations of the assigned business group, and identify opportunity for process improvements within the scope of defined business control responsibilities Review and analyze basic business challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives Develop and implement risk monitoring, risk reporting processes, and controls while evaluating and reporting results where necessary Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing Control Management functional area expertise Provide support in the interpretation of policy, guidelines, and governance programs as front line liaison to Independent Risk Management area Collaborate and consult with Control Management team and key stakeholders, including internal customers Required Qualifications, US: 2+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Required Qualifications, International: Experience in Risk Management or Financial Services industry, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Job Expectations: About the Role The Controls team will support RCSA & other programs in designing and execution of the policies. For this role, we are looking for a candidate with good understanding of risk management, operational risk and control evaluation methodologies with an ability to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls for medium to high complex processes. Will be interacting closely with multiples business partners including the Stateside TMs and other I&P partners to identify and document controls for Commercial Banking processes Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing and monitoring a risk-based program to identify and mitigate any operational risk. Participates in and provides support for projects and initiatives to identify and mitigate operational risk in business activities Reviews the end deliverables as per the standard risk procedures. Effectively raises/reports issues/concerns to the management to ensure corrective actions are in line. Communicate, coordinate, collaborate and build partnerships effectively with Stakeholders across different business divisions Review the results of required risk assessments to ensure controls are working as intended Collect and analyze the data and produce various reports and summary Understand the data and identify gaps and produce the alerts to reduce/eliminate the gaps Liaise with partners to understand specific reporting / data requirements and cater to the needs in an effective manner Participate in RCSA Workshops Track completion of Action Items recorded in the Action Tracker & follow-up with Action Owners as needed Document Minutes of Meetings during Workshop Discussions. Review of Fact Pack/ORQ/Service Model against the Guidance Draft Risk, Control rationales in Workshop and assist/support the BCMs in drafting as per the RCSA Front-line Guidance. Draft and raise CSA Requests. Follow-up and manage CSA Requests Draft MAA Rationales for all MAA records created, as per the RCSA Front-line Guidance and Compliance QA guidelines Trigger In-line QC, Compliance & Central QA for Risk & Control assessments Review and enhance risk descriptions, inherent risk rationales, control design and performance rationales, CSA rationales and MAA rationales. Perform review and remediation of SNOW Discrepancies daily, coordinate with stakeholders as necessary. On an Ad-hoc basis, submit Change Requests as required and track them until completed. Perform Daily Refresh of CSA Tracker, CPD Tracker, Rationales Tracker, SNOW Discrepancies Tracker etc. as part of FST Tracking and Reporting.
