- Continental Commi Chef

Role Overview
A Continental Commi is an entry-to-mid-level chef in the kitchen whose main responsibility is to assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of Continental (European) dishes under the direction of senior chefs.
Key Responsibilities
? Assist in preparing and cooking a wide range of continental dishes (e.g., sauces, soups, salads, pasta, grills) according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
? Prepare mise- en -place -- washing, chopping, portioning, marinating ingredients, and prepping station.
? Ensure food presentation, taste, and consistency meet kitchen standards.
? Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safety (following food safety/SAN standards).
? Support senior chefs and Sous Chef with daily kitchen tasks and service needs.
? Monitor and manage stock levels, notify chefs of shortages, and assist with ingredient storage and rotation.
? Follow instructions on portion control, plating, and timing to ensure smooth service.
? Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils.
